Spark

Caribbean-Inspired Smokehouse

Providing a modern take on traditional Caribbean street food and BBQ dishes, Spark brings a unique communal dining experience to the Bloomingdale neighborhood.  Housed in the historic Engine Company 12 firehouse, guests are invited to enjoy our sumptuous appetizers and bar snacks and then build a feast to share from our jerked and smoked meats.  Each item on our menu is meticulously created from scratch by Executive Chef Peter Prime.  Craft cocktails and surprising desserts all offer a little spark of their own.  Dinner at Spark is an unparalleled dining experience in Washington, DC!

Create your own dishes with Caribbean Flair!  Craving chicken & waffles?  Order the coconut French toast sticks, lacquered chicken and maple syrup.  Thinking a little spicier?  Go for the fry bread, jerk wings, guava syrup.   Eggs benedict?  Have it exactly the way you want it.  We recommend a traditional English muffin from our bread basket or the fry bread.  Add any of our amazing meats and the lemon hollandaise.  If you are a fan of biscuits and gravy, both the johnny bakes and the fry bread pair well with our smoked brisket and brisket gravy.  There are countless combinations, so let your imagination go wild ... the owner's favorite is what she calls the TRIFECA ... smoked salmon, French scrambled eggs and bone marrow on top of grilled rustic bread.  You won't be disappointed!
